Today we rediscovered some diamonds in the ruff, almost literally. Husband's dear sweet grandmother had a wonderful collection of vintage hats still in their original hat boxes from the hey day of downtown Santa Ana (presumably in the '50s).
We pulled them out and ooed and awed for a bit. Then, naturally, we started trying them on.
It seems very fitting that Anna, who is only one of two girls on this side of the family, is perfectly enamored with such accessories. Great Grandma B was a keeper of many treasures and we are certainly thankful she took good care of these chapeaues so we can now enjoy them. I hope we can pass them along to some sweetie one day too--but I am getting ahead of myself.
