I love all the creativity that is brewing and all the homemade goodness being gifted this season. One staple from the Bjs is the husband's home brew. Every fall he spends hours concocting his latest batch to be gifted at Christmas. It is not an easy job and he even tops it off by creating his own labels. This year his Blitzen Ale is supreme while the Christmas Ale packs a punch.
We thought it would be fun to package each of his 22 ounce bottles of flavorful malty brew with some fresh herbs. So I sprayed terracotta pots with chalkboard paint and then planted some seasonal herbs like thyme and rosemary. I like that the message can be changed on the pot for whatever the recipient feels. I gifted ours with a simple "Peace" and "Joy" message. The kids helped out by labeling each herb with a stick.
With every one contibuting, it truly is a Bj family gift.
