Great Book for Beginning "Readers"

My sweet Anna so desperately wants to read and she is making great strides for a preschool graduate. True to her personality, she isn't always content being read to, but wants to take the helm and feed that imagination of hers.

We like the Bob books and read them regularly. But recently remembered a great gift we received that really inspires her.

Once Upon A Time... speaks to her core since she can create a different story each time she 'reads' it. The illustrations are vibrant and fun. Nick Sharratt doesn't disappoint!

There is a fantastic pirate version for little boys as well. (Michelle, don't tell me you already have this for your matey?! Birthdays are coming...)
