Food and Friends

Sunday, August 15, 2010
For a good while I've been hankering for a dinner club. But the kids have been young and just getting out at all was a treat. Planning a regular meet up with friends seemed like a distant etheral dream that other people experienced, not us. Well, times they are a-changing and our dinner with friends has evolved into a regular (but not at all compulsory) event. (Cue the music!)

Good friends moved back into the area. Celebrating their cross country move home was the perfect kick off to our aptly dubbed Super Six Supper Club. I picked up this great dining diary from Anthro. Certainly any good tradition needs proper documentation.

And so it begins.

I tried to get a Supper Club going last year and then life took over. A few weeks ago, one of the girls I invited asked me to please go through with it. She needed an outlet, etc. I think I've got to do it now! Please share how yours works.

You must do it! Do anything that your crew can manage. We have started simple. Three committed couples, rotating restaurants, reviewing along the way. I care about the food just because I like to be impressed and inspired to try something new at home. But in truth it's all about the company. I say do it!
