I have mentioned on more than one occasion how I need my planner. I have a modern Blackberry but still need an old fashion visual glance at keeping everything from scheduling to meals to whimsical ideas straight. I really like Amy Knapp's system. It works for me. (You can remember why here.)

Her cover is in no way inspiring. It screams "MAKEOVER". So, my super crafty friend, Michelle, and I got to work on this year's planners. We kept the design simple, and I even carried over last year's signature 'S'. We just used fun paper, jazzed up the covers and decoupaged. It was easy and now we have personalized planners.

It is difficult to see in these photos but I also added a black grosgrain ribbon (weaved through the spine). It provides a little flare while functioning as a page saver.
