Why does it seem that all little girls want a pony? I went through it (and actually had a sweet little pony named "Jay") and most every girl I know has
experienced the pangs of wanting a pony of their very own. What is it about our equine pals that draw us in with such passion? My little Anna is fixated on horses and ponies and doesn't understand why in the world we can't have one in our backyard.
Since we can not accommodate her every whim (much to her dismay), nor can we house a horse or any relative of the horse, we have settled on a trail ride here and there and
these great stories. It's a very sweet series (chapter books) about a pony named
Keeker. Not surprisingly, each has a little girl as a central character.
