While at a wonderful
Summer Solstice party with our
Green Acres friends, I was inspired to plant our own lettuce. I had always figured that we would have to have more space for a robust garden -- beyond the herbs, tomatoes and peppers we usually plant.
After meeting some urban dwelling friends of
Domestic Reflections, who also don't have acres to call home, I learned how simple and easy lettuce is to grow. ANYONE CAN DO IT!

So, that weekend we planted our seeds and now we have organic, fresh baby greens for our salads. Evidently we can keep it going pretty much all year round with our light So Cal climate. Our salads just got better!
